Help & FAQ
The questions people ask most · plain answers
If your question isn't here, write to hello@syncreticon.com — one person reads it, and that person built the thing.
What is The Syncreticon?
A living oracle and an esoteric library in one. The oracle reads the day for you — its hour, its moon, its older correspondences — and speaks in a voice calibrated to the answers you give when you arrive. The library holds hundreds of restored works on tarot, herb-lore, magic, and the traditions that thread through all of them. The deeper your tier, the more of both opens to you.
Getting started
Do I have to pay to look around?
No. A free account lets you make an account, set your details, and see the shape of the place. The daily oracle and most of the library sit behind a tier, but you can read the tiers page and decide in your own time.
What are the tiers?
Three paths, each opening more: Seeker (the oracle, your eight daily streams, the journal), Adept (everything in Seeker plus the herb and witchcraft material, the planetary hours, and the classical library), and Magister (everything, plus the full natal chart and the deepest works). The tiers page lists exactly what each one opens, with monthly and annual prices.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — the Seeker tier opens with 7 days free. You give a card so the subscription can continue smoothly if you stay, but nothing is charged during the trial. Cancel any time in those seven days and your card is never touched.
How the readings work
Is this fortune-telling?
Treat it as reflection, not prediction. The oracle is built to give you a frame to think inside — a provocation, an old symbol, a question worth sitting with — not medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice. The reading never substitutes for your own judgment. The decision is always yours.
What if I ask something dark — about harming myself or someone else?
The oracle will not answer that question on its own terms, and it will never encourage self-harm, harm to another person, or anything illegal — whatever the cards happen to fall as. A question asked from a dark place is met instead with warmth: the reading turns toward life, toward what keeps you here and what you can build in the open. Do not expect the oracle to confirm a harmful course — it is built specifically not to.
If you are struggling, please reach out to someone who can sit with you in it: the Samaritans are there day or night on 116 123 (free, UK & ROI), or text SHOUT to 85258. Anywhere else, findahelpline.com lists a line near you. You matter, and you deserve that kind of company.
Why does the reading change through the day?
Because the day itself changes. The planetary hour turns, the moon moves, the streams shift. Come back at a different hour and the oracle meets you where the day now stands — that movement is the point, not a glitch.
Why does it sound different for me than for someone else?
When you arrive you answer a short set of questions. Those answers tune the oracle's voice — softer or more direct, plainer or more mythic — so it speaks the way you actually hear. You can re-tune anytime from your settings.
Billing & payment
Who handles the payment?
Stripe. Through its Managed Payments service, Stripe is the merchant of record — the seller for your subscription — and collects and remits any VAT or sales tax owed in your country. We never see or store your card details.
What will show on my statement?
LINK.COM* SYNCRETICON. If you see that line, it's us — Stripe
processes the charge under that descriptor.
Can I pay yearly?
Yes, and it's cheaper per month. Each tier offers a monthly and an annual price; the toggle is on the tiers page.
How do I change my card, switch tier, or see invoices?
Open the billing portal from your settings page. It's hosted by Stripe and handles card updates, tier changes, invoices, and cancellation.
Cancelling & refunds
How do I cancel?
From the billing portal on your settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for — you keep your access until then, with no further charge.
Can I get a refund?
Yes — a 14-day full refund on any new subscription or upgrade, no questions asked. Email hello@syncreticon.com and we process it within five working days. This sits on top of your statutory rights under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, which we honour in full. See the Terms for the detail.
Your journal & your data
Is my journal private?
Yes. Your journal entries, your birth details, and the answers that tune the oracle are encrypted at rest with a key held apart from the database — unreadable in the raw data. Your journal is never sent to the language model that writes the oracle's prose.
Can I get a copy of my data?
Any time. Download everything we hold about you as JSON from a single link — including before you delete.
How do I delete my account?
From your settings. It erases your account and everything tied to it, permanently. Export first if you want to keep a copy. The privacy policy sets out the full picture of what we hold and why.
