What it asks of you

Your will is the wand — what do you consciously create today?

The Magician holds the wand up and points the other hand down — 'as above, so below' made into a gesture. His Hebrew letter Beth means 'house': he is the first enclosure, the vessel where the formless will condenses into craft. Card I in the deck because he is the first act of naming — and naming, in the ancient view, is how things get made.
