What it asks of you

Which chains do you wear that you have the key to unlock?

Hebrew Ayin: 'eye' — the one that sees, specifically the one that sees in the dark. The Devil is not evil in the old sense — he is the shadow we project onto our own bondage, Baphomet as the integrator of the opposites we fear. He holds the torch downward; the darkness he rules is the unconscious material we have not owned.

What it weaves with

  Side by side in the arcana. The twenty-two are an order, and what one card leaves unfinished the next one picks up.
