What this is

Hanael is the archangel of Venus, regent of Netzach, the sphere of victory and of the feeling heart, the angel of love and beauty, known also as Hanael. His name means "glory of God," and he is the one who draws hearts together, who makes the beautiful and delights in it. Where Venus rules, you are in his garden: attraction, art, the pleasure that binds.

What it governs

He governs Friday and the drawing-together of hearts: love, art, harmony, pleasure, and friendship. His sphere is everything that attracts and unites, the bond of affection, the beauty that pleases for its own sake. He is the principle of relationship, of the self reaching toward another.

Its properties

His colour is emerald green, the hue of growing things and of the heart; his metal is copper, which conducts and shines; his stone is the emerald, his number seven, the number of Netzach and of the planets that wander. The Empress is his card, the crowned mother in her flowering field. His upright virtue is devoted love, beauty that arises from genuine feeling. His shadow is the same warmth turned shallow: vanity, indulgence, the love that is really hunger for being adored.
