You have been using the Oracle. You have seen the planet that rules the morning. You have found the tarot card that turned up for you. You have met the rune (an ancient symbol), the figure (a geomantic pattern), and the herb (a plant with meaning in the tradition). Each one has a metal and a stone that go with it. And somewhere inside, you have felt that these things are speaking to one another. This book is where that feeling is made plain.

What you are holding is your guide to everything the Oracle shows you. It walks through each surface (each element or layer) one by one. For each one, it tells you what it means. Not how it is built, not what moves behind the curtain, but what it is for, and how to let it work on you. When the Oracle names an angel (a spiritual being), this book tells you who that angel is. When it gives you a number, a sign, a season, it tells you what these things have meant to people who watched the sky long before either of us. The Oracle is the doorway. This is the room you step into.

Read this book however you like. Read it straight through from start to finish to see the whole shape of it. Or read one entry at a time, whenever the Oracle gives you a name you do not yet know. You might want to understand it before the day moves on. Nothing here costs anything. The Oracle’s meaning belongs to whoever sits down to listen.

And it is not finished. The Oracle grows. New surfaces are added as the work deepens. When they are added, they appear here too. So think of this less as a closed book and more as a living one. The sky itself is never quite the same twice, yet it is always the same underneath. This book works the same way.
